Sleep is Commercial is the new avant garde from nowhere, no time,no season. syncretism of places, ages, words, people, volumes, images… always dreamed in Berlin. as a music and fashion label,The Sleep is Commercial Project has grown beyond any single idea and stands before you today as an experimental, established and experienced collective of artists.
a name, a claim and a manifesto, Sleep is Commercial is always evolving, fueled by a fluid cast of creative minds; musicians, music producers, writers, artists, fashion designers, photographers and promoters. everyone gives their own input. these inputs create one output. this is called Sleep Is Commercial.
no sleep. Dream. as Utopia Vivendi. sharing as Anti-conformism. Music and Love as Revolution.

emphasis to innovation: syncretism of past, present and future; synonymous of evolution. SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL has a specific and definite identity with the consciousness that the subculture no longer exists, they are cultures with their own individuality.

“Everything what we are doing, buying, speaking, writing, wasting, designing, watching, consuming, using, have to help us with the consciousness we are living. we see life full of acts, every action in one liquid box, every liquid box like a small temple, a small temple which gives hospitality to god.”

This is a part of our journal dedicated to these liquid boxes, boxes in which we put pictures of the world, images of the work of friends, artists,colleagues, people with whom we come in contact and from which we remain fascinated.

Sakura City – our inner city. The city we build, the city we take refuge, the city we dream, we live, we shy away, while beautiful and delicate as a cherry blossom …

Sakura, the cherry tree, represents the beauty and transience of life: during flowering, it reveals an enchanting place where the Samurai saw the grandeur of his figure wrapped in armor. But as simply as the flowers fall to the ground in a sudden shower, the Samurai could fall by a sword given by the enemy. An old saying still remembered today is “Hana wa Sakuragi, hito wa bushi” 花 は 桜木 人 は 武士 “ 'The cherry blossom among flowers, the warrior among men.”

Berlin is an individual, an individual, pulsating, transitory city-neverland-workshop, a centre of creative energy drawn from all over the globe where possibilities are limitless and dreams can become true. Berlin is the city we live in, the city we wear and the place where we dream: no Sleep. Dream.
Dreamed in Berlin is a journey through stories, all animated by our eyes but ready to shut themselves inside their packed shells, to disperse the places, forget things and obscure people.
